International relations

The international activity of the LLA-Créatis research centre guarantees the academic quality of the work developed in its various programmes of fundamental and applied research. This activity takes many forms, reflecting the status of LLA-Créatis as an international centre of influence.

It includes:

- International research programmes developed in response to invitations to tender and contracts, for clients including ANR, the European Commission and Euroregion.

- Practical partnerships based on special agreements with countries including Canada, Brazil, Mauritania, Algeria and China.

- Hosting guest researchers for short or medium-term visits, with funding from a range of sources, including the French Embassy, AUF, the home university (UNED Madrid...) and the guest teachers programme of the University of Toulouse 2 (Santiago de Compostela, Granada...)

- Hosting international doctoral students and post-docs from countries including Romania, Canada, Germany, Italy and Finland, who are supervised by specialists from LLA-Créatis in disciplines including musicology, French literature, and translation studies.

- Doctoral research co-supervised with the Université Catholique de Louvain, Durham University, the Université de Montréal, the Université du Québec à Montreal, Université Laval, the University of Sousse, etc.

- Co-organising conferences, study days, seminars and co-publications with international academics.

- Participation in a great many international academic events.
